Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how cAIerra collects, uses, transmits, stores, protects, and deletes information when you use the cAIerra mobile application and related services.
Information we collect
- Account information, such as your name, email address, phone number when provided, user ID, and sign-in provider.
- Career profile information, including employment, education, skills, preferences, locations, and other details you provide or confirm.
- Documents, images, links, and extracted text that you choose to upload, including CVs, portfolios, certificates, and application materials.
- Messages, instructions, vacancy context, saved opportunities, application activity, and other content you submit through the service.
- Subscription entitlement and purchase-status information supplied by Apple and RevenueCat. cAIerra does not receive your full payment-card details.
- Technical, security, and diagnostic information needed to operate the service, such as device model, operating-system version, app version, build number, push token, and error details.
How we use information
- To create, authenticate, secure, and maintain your account.
- To build and update your career profile from information you provide and confirm.
- To discover and assess job opportunities and prepare materials you request.
- To provide career-assistant conversations and other user-requested AI features after separate permission.
- To manage subscription access, restore eligible purchases, deliver notifications, provide support, prevent misuse, and improve reliability.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect users, cAIerra, and the service.
OpenAI and AI data processing
Before cAIerra sends any personal data to a third-party AI service, the app clearly identifies OpenAI as the recipient, describes the data categories and purpose, and asks for your separate, explicit permission. No personal data is sent to OpenAI until you provide that permission.
After you agree, only information relevant to the feature you request may be sent through the OpenAI API. This may include career-profile data, text extracted from documents, chat messages, vacancy context, and application instructions. It is used to analyze your profile, support career chat, assess opportunity relevance, or prepare requested CVs, letters, and application materials.
You may withdraw AI-processing permission in Profile → Legal & Privacy. Withdrawal stops new personal-data processing through OpenAI, but it does not reverse processing already completed. You may also delete your account and related cAIerra data in the app.
cAIerra does not enable optional OpenAI API data sharing for model training. OpenAI API data is not used to train OpenAI models by default unless the API customer voluntarily opts in. OpenAI may process or temporarily retain limited service or security data under its business terms, data-processing commitments, and legal obligations.
Other service providers
Providers needed to operate the service may include Apple and Google for authentication, RevenueCat for subscription-entitlement management, Expo for app and push infrastructure, OpenAI for user-authorized AI processing, and contracted hosting, database, private-storage, monitoring, and support providers. They receive only information reasonably necessary for their services. cAIerra contractually requires processors that receive personal data, including OpenAI, to provide the same or equivalent protection required by this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
We do not sell personal data, use it for third-party advertising, or perform cross-app tracking.
Uploaded documents and user content
Documents and other user content are processed only to provide the features you request, such as building your career profile, extracting professional information, assessing opportunities, and preparing application materials. Do not upload content that you do not have the right to use or sensitive information that the service does not need.
International data transfers
OpenAI and other providers may process information outside Armenia or your country. cAIerra uses applicable legal transfer mechanisms and contractual safeguards. Where an authority approval is required, a transfer is made only after that requirement is satisfied.
Data retention and deletion
We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed to provide and secure the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods depend on the type of information and the reason it is held. Limited transaction, security, legal, and backup records may remain for required periods.
You can delete your cAIerra account in the app through Profile → Legal & Privacy → Delete account. Deletion removes the active-system account and related cAIerra profile, documents, career memory, conversations, applications, and consent records, subject to mandatory limited retention. Deleting cAIerra does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage renewal separately in Apple ID subscription settings.
Your choices and rights
You may review and update profile information, remove supported documents, withdraw AI permission, manage notifications, export available account data, manage your Apple subscription, and request access, correction, restriction, objection, or deletion where applicable. Identity may be reasonably verified before a privacy request is completed.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and loss. No service can guarantee absolute security.
Age
cAIerra is intended for adults who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly offer the service to children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the product, providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes may require a new in-app notice or acceptance. The current version and effective date will remain available on this page.
